Squiggle 2.0 is an ambient multiuser video sculpture. Using game-like interaction on a touch device (iPad/ iPodTouch/ iPhone/ TouchPC) visitors help create a video and sound sculpture. The project explores the potential connectivity and virtual baggage we carry around daily with so-called ‘smart’ technology.

During the final stages of the On The Edge China tour our performance was very tight and polished which meant we had more time to play. This video shows my Squiggle VJ app performance with Mantra MCing live to random words on the stage.

This project required a touch screen kiosk solution which utilised a custom height and height and proximity meter giving users the ability to find the correct size product they need. The project uses an rich touch screen interface which was designed to make the user watch HD video on a 40″ HD screen as a portrait orientation to fit the kiosk. Upon approaching the display an attractor video was stopped and a call to action was presented to the visitor to step up and weigh themselves. They would then follow the prompts which lead them to a final screen presenting a suggested product.
